UCD: UNDEFINED! ART, EXPRESSION, COMMUNITY

This summer, in partnership with Believe Limited, Amgen is excited to bring back UCD Undefined, an in-person art therapy workshop for young people across the U.S. living with a urea cycle disorder, taking place in Chicago, Illinois, July 19 - 21st, 2024.  The weekend workshop will allow for connection to others in the community, emotional expression through art, and the adoption of new methods for relaxation. The program  was designed with the UCD community in mind.

THIS UCD COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

  • Art therapy sessions led by professional art therapists.

  • Relaxation workshops to help with UCD stress and anxiety.

  • Low-protein cooking and lifestyle workshops with a metabolic dietician and experts.

  • Community building, empowerment to stay on track with UCD care, and self-advocacy workshops.

  • A final gallery opening featuring multiple solo and group art activities, across varying mediums, from the UCD community.

  • And so much more!

Transportation to and from Chicago, lodging, and food for you and a chaperone will be provided. 

WHO CAN APPLY
Any person in the US living with a UCD ages 13-22 with an interest in connecting with other young adults living with a UCD while you explore creative arts, learn relaxation techniques and support through fun activities! Spaces are limited.
